October 2024 | Agbani, Ugwuaji & Mpu Communities, Enugu State
Continuing its mission to empower rural communities, the Okpara-Osim Foundation extended its outreach to key areas in Enugu State — Agbani, Ugwuaji, and Mpu communities — delivering hope, training, and agricultural support to families and farmers.
This outreach marked another milestone in the foundation’s efforts to unify and uplift rural communities. Through this visit, residents received vital agricultural resources and mentoring, fostering both community cooperation and self-sufficiency.
As part of the foundation’s agricultural empowerment mission, the Chicks Sharing Initiative was introduced to support sustainable poultry farming across local communities. This initiative provides young farmers and households with chicks, feed, and training to ensure lasting impact and economic growth.
The goal is to create a ripple effect of productivity — enabling beneficiaries to rear, multiply, and redistribute chicks to other members of their communities, promoting a cycle of empowerment and food security.
The warmth and enthusiasm from Agbani, Ugwuaji, and Mpu residents reflected the deep need for continued engagement and grassroots support. Many participants expressed their appreciation for the foundation’s hands-on approach and pledged to sustain the lessons learned.
The Okpara-Osim Foundation remains committed to nurturing local resilience and ensuring that every outreach leaves a legacy of growth, unity, and renewed hope.
