Chicks Sharing Outreach in Afikpo

Ebonyi State Chicks Sharing Outreach

October 2025 | Amasiri, Ibii & Uwana Communities, Afikpo North LGA, Ebonyi State

The Okpara-Osim Foundation reached out with love and support to the Amasiri community in Ebonyi State. We empowered farmers by providing poultry birds to nurture and sell, helping them build sustainable livelihoods. We also visited Ibii and Uwana in Afikpo North LGA, bringing hope and impact to more lives.

Empowering Farmers Through Poultry

This chicks sharing outreach focused on creating lasting agricultural independence. The Foundation distributed day-old chicks, feeds, and essential vitamins, alongside hands-on training on poultry management and disease prevention to ensure high survival rates.

“We believe that sustainable farming starts with empowerment — one chick, one family, one future at a time.”

Key Highlights

  • Capacity Building: Farmers received practical education on poultry best practices.
  • Livelihood Support: Distribution of chicks, feed, and vitamins to boost self-reliance.
  • Community Inclusion: Visits to Ibii and Uwana to extend empowerment beyond Amasiri.
  • Hope & Growth: Strengthened unity and confidence among small-scale farmers.

Impact and Reflection

The joy and gratitude from farmers were a clear reminder of why initiatives like this matter. With the right tools and knowledge, communities can rise above challenges and create sustainable sources of income. Together, we grow, compete, and triumph.
